I thought that we would all die from the toxic fumes. We all sat out on the balcony and laughed about it for awhile though. The one I use is almost identical to this one:
http://tinyurl.com/2ao9bae
I haven't had any problems with losing the seasoning flavors because of steam loss, so you should be just fine.
And I bet it would taste great with meat added, but I haven't tried it yet. If you do, send me an email or comment to let me know how it turns out. I have served it underneath chicken tortilla soup and that combination is great.
I came by your blog today...love the cake in a mug recipe! I've got to try it now!Restorative Livinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07774737097762096631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6806056991281202181.post-22885563269524281092010-05-13T11:37:13.547-07:002010-05-13T11:37:13.547-07:00Ok...I have some questions for you.
I have a rice ...Ok...I have some questions for you.
I have a rice steamer, is that different from a "cooker"? I ask, because I can't put any seasoning in it, until the rice is done, or it would all steam out.
Second, have you tried adding any type of meat, maybe chicken to the dish? Just curious.
Love the blog...and I will be back.
Come and check out mine!
