My sweet friend Cassie recently wrote about what they call apple issues in their house. It made perfect sense to me and I love it so I'm going to start using that phrase for our family.
Simply put, an apple issue is when a kid acts like their parent...as in the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Remember my personal fight with perfectionism? Turns out, I'm not the only one in this house...I think we might have an apple issue on our hands.
Noticing a pattern here?
What's your family's apple issue?

Ha! My little boys are liner-uppers, too, but they sure didn't get it from their mama (or daddy)! I could use a little perfectionism!
ReplyDeleteApple issue! I am using that from now on. Our son's is perfectionism too. The month before he turned 2, he was outside at a park with us and his Grandpa. He was running along, like any normal kid, when he stopped dead in his tracks and went over to 2 drainage pipes and moved them back 'together' so they were perfectly aligned. Then he went on running like it was a normal everyday occurance. . . .um, yeah I'm going to say that he gets it from my husband-I'm still in denial!
